Family w/Brittany Means

In addition to our regular Monday morning posts, on Wednesdays I’m will occasionally share some additional news or content that I think you might find of interest - including previewing new episodes of our NPR podcast, Attribution.

Kicking off our fourth season is Brittany Means, author of the critically acclaimed memoir, Hell If We Don’t Change Our Ways. Reviews have called it “gut-wrenching and triumphant,” “readable and rigorous,” “brutal and beautiful.’  At its heart, it is a book about family, as Means recounts her complex relationships with her mother, father, brother, and grandparents and eventual guardians. What does it mean when those closest to us hurt us? Is understanding or forgiveness even possible? How do children make it through it all to find support and love? This was a particularly moving discussion. I hope you find it of value.

The full episode is available on all of your favorite podcast players including Apple Podcasts and Spotify. If so inclined, please subscribe on your podcast player or follow the show to receive future episodes. Feel free to like or leave a comment as apparently that helps others discover the show.
